Vulcan Metal offers an extensive selection of spirally and longitudinal welded pipes, in addition to polyethylene (HDPE) pipes, all with varying sizes and grades via his ISO certified local partner.
Rigorous testing involving non-destructive (NDT) and destructive methods to evaluate the characteristics for determining integrity and performance ensure the required EN 10217-1, EN 253 and EN 12201-2 standards are met.
Capabilities include pipe coating for different purposes applied with bitumen, cement mortar, primer, varnish, solvent-free epoxy, coal-tar epoxy, fusion bonded epoxy (FBE), polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP) and polyurethane (PU).
Spiral welded pipes have advantage over the longitudinal in that they have greater structural strength, more impact resistance and can bear immense pressure. They make production of large diameter tubes in long lengths possible and allow for superior manufacturing flexibility, permitting an efficient and cost-effective process.
Spirally welded pipes are produced with submerged arc welding (SAW) method. They are used in structural applications and construction sites for piling, in addition to clean water, wastewater, dredging and numerous other pipelines.
Pipe | Diameter (Min - Max) |
Wall Thickness (Min - Max) |
Length (Min - Max) |
Grade | Welding Method |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Carbon Steel Spirally Welded Pipes | 8'' - 96'' (219,1 - 2.438,0 mm) |

Stainless steel welded pipes are strong and durable, stain and corrosion resistant, able to handle extreme temperatures and excellent for hygienic water delivery. These properties make stainless steel pipes ideal for numerous commercial and industrial applications such as drinking water distribution, construction, shipping, yachting and automotive industry.
Small diameter stainless steel pipes are longitudinally, larger ones are spirally welded. TIG-MIG or SAW method is used in production.

HDPE (polyethylene) pipes offer significant benefits such as anti-corrosive properties, strength, resilience, lightness and flexibility, allowing for leak-free fusion and easy installation. They are the material of choice for water systems, industrial and mining applications, transportation of chemicals and telecommunications systems. Heat fusion methods are used to join the pipes together and create welded joints preventing leakage.
